Cindy Oliver

Cindy Oliver is past-President of the Federation of Post-Secondary Educators of BC (FPSE), having stepped down from the role of President in 2015. FPSE is a provincial organization representing over 10,000 faculty and staff in British Columbia's colleges, universities and institutes. Cindy led FPSE for 13 years.

Prior to being elected as President of FPSE in 2002, Cindy served three years as FPSE's Secretary-Treasurer. Previously, she was a college instructor of Adult Basic Education and an Educational Advisor at the College of the Rockies in Fernie, BC.

Cindy also sits on the Canadian Industrial Relations Board, Canada's national labour relations body, where she is one of fourteen Board members adjudicating federal labour relations issues, and she is a Director of the Working Opportunity Fund Board. She also served as member of the Canadian Association of University Teachers (CAUT) National Executive for many years and was co-chair of the Canadian Apprenticeship Forum Board.
