Karen Chen has ten years of pension industry experience. Her particular area of expertise is in the actuarial valuation for multi-employer pension plans. At PBI Actuarial Consultants, Karen performs actuarial valuations for clients across Canada.  She is also involved in pension administration, plan design and costing, experience study, well as asset-liability cash flow analysis projects and investment related matters. Karen holds a B.B.A. in Finance and Marketing from Simon Fraser University, graduating in 2000. She has obtained Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries in 2008 and qualified as a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries in 2011.
